PGPR Promotes the Recovery of Submerged Macrophytes via Indigenous Microbiome Modulations under Combined Abiotic Stress

چکیده

The restoration of submerged macrophytes is commonly limited by abiotic stress. Here, we isolated PGPR strains from the rhizosphere using ACC deaminase selective medium, and evaluated their growth promoting effects on Vallisneria natans (V. natans) under low light intensity (or) high sediment organic matter load, also explored indigenous microbiome response V. seedlings to inoculants. Ten isolates were chosen 252 based activity production IAA siderophore. M1 (Pseudomonas vancouverensis) E15 (Enterobacter ludwigii) had best stress double shoot height increased 36% 46%, respectively. results analysis showed that inoculants could regulate relative abundance unclassified_f_Enterobacteriaceae improve ?-diversity bacterial community. Under inoculation obviously shifted ?-diversity communities promote early natans. This study expands application plant–microbe interaction in field freshwater ecological restoration.

Biochemical adaptations of four submerged macrophytes under combined exposure to hypoxia and hydrogen sulphide

A hydroponic experiment was performed to investigate the stress responses and biochemical adaptations of four submerged macrophytes, Potamogeton crispus, Myriophyllum spicatum, Egeria densa, and Potamogeton oxyphyllus, to the combined exposure of hypoxia and hydrogen sulfide (H2S, provided by NaHS). The investigated plants were subjected to a control, hypoxia, 0.1mM NaHS, 0.5 mM NaHS, 0.1 mM Na...

Effects of Submerged Macrophytes on the Concentrations of Phosphorous and Chlorophyll a under Experimental Conditions

The role of two submerged macrophyte species (Ceratophyllum demersum and Potamogeton pectinatus) as biological factor affecting concentrations of P and chlorophyll a concentrations was tested under laboratory conditions. In general, after four weeks exposition, the significant reduction of TP, P-PO4 and chlorophyll a was observed in all experimental variants (aquaria with P. pectinatus, C. deme...

The PGPR Stenotrophomonas maltophilia SBP-9 Augments Resistance against Biotic and Abiotic Stress in Wheat Plants

Certain plant growth promoting bacteria have ability to ameliorate abiotic and/or biotic stressors, which can be exploited to enhance plant growth and productivity of the plants under stress conditions. Therefore, the present study aimed to examine the role of a rhizospheric bacterial isolate SBP-9 isolated from Sorghum bicolor (i) in promoting the wheat plant growth under salinity stress, and ...

Identification of Cassava MicroRNAs under Abiotic Stress

The study of microRNAs (miRNAs) in plants has gained significant attention in recent years due to their regulatory role during development and in response to biotic and abiotic stresses. Although cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) is tolerant to drought and other adverse conditions, most cassava miRNAs have been predicted using bioinformatics alone or through sequencing of plants challenged by ...

Cell wall remodeling under abiotic stress

Plants exposed to abiotic stress respond to unfavorable conditions on multiple levels. One challenge under drought stress is to reduce shoot growth while maintaining root growth, a process requiring differential cell wall synthesis and remodeling. Key players in this process are the formation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and peroxidases, which initially cross-link phenolic compounds and gly...
